We only do one thing - design and install PV Systems - and we do it very well. We DO NOT sell solar pool heating, solar hot water, heat pumps, insulation, storm shutters, window tinting or sun glasses. Nor do we lease PV Systems - whatever that means. A PV System is a rather sophisticated electrical device with a whole chapter in the National Electric Code devoted to its requirements. You want a company that is dedicated to and focused on PV installations. Although our license allows us to perform thermal (hot water) installations also, we choose not to - we don't believe in dabbling. The fact that the sun provides the solar energy for both thermal and photovoltaic applications is where the similarities end.

Key Power Services, Inc. is a FL licensed Solar Contractor. Its president is the only North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Certified Solar PV Installer ™ (NABCEP) in SW Florida, one of only 15 in the state, and 936 nationally. Key Power was one of the first companies to have a system design approved by the Florida Solar Energy Center. We have been designing/installing PV Systems since 1996, long before the current crop of companies looking to be 'green' entered the PV arena. Don't be misled - although they may advertise that they have been in 'business' for umpteen years, ask them how long they have actually been involved in PV - if the answer is more than four years in SW FL, they are being less than truthful. We cut our teeth on off-grid installations on barrier islands with systems more technically sophisticated and exposed to storm stress than today's grid-tie systems. We know what it takes to engineer and install a system that will stand up in this environment for you.

So what will all this experience cost? We believe we can surprise you with extremely competitive pricing for the finest equipment and installation. Key Power can do this for a couple of reasons - we create an individualized set of blueprints for each project (no boilerplates here) before arriving that allows us to focus on the quality of installation, not wasting time attempting to figure things out in the field. Another is we don't have an advertising budget like the others - no radio, television, magazine or newspaper ads, airplanes with streamers or parades. Just word of mouth and this web site.
